Doubled, the lenguas give the ring movement and depth, and they guard the stone at its center: a fire opal, the gem Mexico is known for, glowing in warm oranges and reds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike every piece in the Lengua Collection, the lenguas are hollow-formed using \u003cem\u003ecartoneado\u003c\/em\u003e, a technique Taxco has practiced for generations — sheets of .925 sterling are die-stamped, then soldered by hand into a hollow form.
