The specimen keeps its raw crystalline form: the facets, the texture, the metallic flash the mineral makes on its own. Our rays frame it the way light frames a rising sun, and we set each one individually, because no two specimens are the same shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe rays are formed rather than cut. We shape them in \u003cem\u003emedia caña\u003c\/em\u003e — a half-round section drawn to a point, the same technique we use for our Sol earrings and pendant.
