Tiger Eye Bolo Tie in Sterling Silver
The Tiger Eye Bolo Tie is a .925 sterling silver bolo with a natural tiger eye centerpiece, made by hand in our workshop in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico.
Tiger eye is a stone that moves. Turn it in the light and the golden bands slide across its surface — a silky glow called chatoyancy, the same effect that gives a cat's eye its shine. Honey, gold and deep brown, never arranged the same way twice.
The bolo is a western classic; we treat it as jewelry. Wear it formally with a buttoned collar, or every day, loose over an open shirt.
The silver is fabricated and finished by hand in our workshop, and our lapidary in Mexico cuts every stone individually. No two bolos come out alike.

Care
Silver is a living material and will develop a patina over time. Polish it with a silver cloth to bring back the shine, or leave it darker — we like it both ways. Keep the stone away from perfume and household cleaners, and store the piece dry.
Questions
What is tiger eye? A natural quartz with fine golden fibers running through it. Those fibers catch the light in a moving band — that's the shimmer you see when you turn the stone.
Is the stone natural? Yes. Every stone is natural and cut by hand by our lapidary in Mexico, so the color and banding vary from one bolo to the next.
Can it be worn casually? That's how we wear it. It reads formal with a buttoned collar and relaxed with an open shirt.
