Lengua Scarf Ring in Sterling Silver
The Lengua Scarf Ring is a sculptural .925 sterling silver slide that works as both a scarf ring and a belt buckle, made by hand in our workshop in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico.
It takes the fluid forms of our Lengua Collection and turns a functional accessory into a piece of jewelry. The integrated center bar holds fabric or a belt strap securely while keeping the profile clean.
We designed it to move: wear it on a leather belt, a silk scarf, or a bandana. It works the same at a dinner and on a Tuesday.
Our silversmiths build it using cartoneado, a technique Taxco has practiced for generations — sheets of .925 sterling are die-stamped and soldered by hand into a hollow form.

Care
Silver is a living material and will develop a patina over time. Polish it with a silver cloth to bring back the shine, or leave it darker — we like it both ways. Every piece is made by hand, so slight variations are part of it.
Questions
Can I really use it as a belt buckle? Yes. The integrated center bar takes a belt strap as easily as a scarf. It's the same piece, worn two ways.
What width of belt does it fit? Is 1.3 Inches
Is the piece solid or hollow? Hollow. We build it with cartoneado, a traditional Taxco technique: sheets of .925 sterling silver are die-stamped and hand-soldered into a hollow form. The silver is .925 throughout.
